I had the both 700 headphones 🎧 I wasn’t really impressed the sound quality wasn’t much better than the QC 35 II and the app for it never worked I just found the more uncomfortable than the QC 35 II that’s why I switched back to the QC 35 II

The XM4’s were really uncomfortable for me. They hit some pressure point right on the top of my head. I could not wear them. Had to return.

I have the xm3. After countless hours of researching, yes they are worth the upgrade just because of their improvement in comfort and sound quality, provided at a discounted price that is, the normal price is still close to the Bose 700. The airpods max without the wired feature is just a deal breaker for me at that price. I wish i could have the Bose 700 cause the better anc over the sony’s, sound quality (i love clarity over bass genre), comfort at this point both Bose and Sony are winners over the Max.

for the price, yes the Sonys do sound better. But i have to give overall sound quality to the AirPods max. The pure clarity in sound and in transparency mode and the sheer comfortability even over extended periods of time is remarkable. Also spatial audio is game changing. I wouldn’t exactly say they are worth it at the 550 price point, but they sure do deliver a luxurious listening experience that does not disappoint

One major feature you’ve missed on the AirPods Max is the Find My capability. Especially with the latest update, it’s a great feature if you misplace them. They are heavier, but you do not get that hotspot on the top of your head from the pressure created by the band. It is one of the best headphones when it comes to this. The controls are also much better in my option. The Digital Crown is a genius move by apple and makes incremental adjustments to the volume much better.
