I’ve purchased and returned the Sonys twice. I don’t like the sound as much as I like the Bose. The Airs are way too expensive to come close.

This microphone test is extremely bad. Has nothing to do with reality of daily usage. NC700 is far superior.

Someone knows why my Sony WH-1000XM4 connect really poorly via bluethoot to my samsung TV The frame 5.0 ? Like the sounds full of noises and the sounds is not following the image. So annoying. I will have to get the bose because i love using my headphone with my tv and the sony won’t work.

I’ve had the Bose NC700 for about 6 months now and love them. I considered the XM4’s at the time but I can’t get over how plastic they look. Both are a great choice and I think most people would be happy with either set. The Apple APM are great but I think the 2nd gen will be the ones to get. Your review was the most entertaining comparison of these headphones that I have seen to date. Good job!

Thank you for this review, quite useful in my internal debate over Pro Max v. Bose but I’ve made my choice , in-part , thanks to this review. BOSE wins… it’s absurd one can spend $600 on headphones and not get a hard case or adapter. No sound can be 600$ good unless it’s surround sound for entertainment system.

Comfort is no 1 for me sound is second, bose qc35 II is headphone I can wear them 4-5 hours watching 21+ movies

Do the Sony headphones have those annoying startup and shut down sounds that you cannot mute? I love the 700’s but the loud startup and shutdown sounds are a deal brekaer for me and Bose doesn’t seem to care about fixing that or allowing you to mute it.

The lightening to 3.5 mil adapter cant work because its technically not an adapter. Its a DAC, it takes the digital signal from your Digital device to an Analog signal speakers/headphones can use.
