THD: I suspect the advertised numbers are measured under idealized conditions, a perfect sinusoidal signal at the an optimal frequency, making the numbers technically accurate but not representative of how a headphone plays actual music with messy and difficult wave forms.

Frequency Response: Different measuring rigs produce different results, and again this can be abused to produce results that are technically correct while misleading the consumer. Comparing measurements from different sources is dubious, but when a reviewer measures many different headphones, comparing their results can give one a decent idea of a headphone’s sound profile. On the other hand frequency response doesn’t tell you anything about detail retrieval or dynamic properties.

Got to spend a day with the Verite ‘s and they partially ruined me. Love my Argons, but I’m waiting for the day that I can throw down that kind of money without regretting it. Anyways, love this video. Keep it up, you’re killing it.
