companies will print what their design parameters in the box, but the truth of what the product will be is the manufacturing and AFAIK you have to be quality dictator with chinese manufacturing because they lose quality over time quickly even within the same batch, because you know managers put pressure to make as much as possible because they are paid by quantity and not by quality, so maybe agree with the company a quality equation one that balances manufacturing speed vs quality vs total number of production and punishes more the lower the quality (of materials and sound)

Ur kinda correct about distortion part expept having same distortion level can actually still give you different sound BECAUSE! Distortions can be of different types.

I really liked the explanations and the video quality! But is it just me, or are the highs really exaggerated? I tried using my Bose QC35II and my Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro. Both showed up the hissing of the highs to the point that it really annoyed me.
It wasn’t until I used my Airpod Pros, that I was able to listen to the entire video.

You should try the new Avantone Planar BEATS EM ALL!!!!! I have owned very expensive Sennheiser, and Hifiman Ananda and the Avantone was much better!

I currently have a PC38x and gonna get a FiiO K5 Pro. I wanted to know your opinion on my next upgrade: Im between the AD700x and the HD560s.
I mostly game, but sometimes I listen to some music and YouTube. Im looking for a more premium sounding, detailed, organic can… and with good soundstage. The PC38x is good, but I miss that true to life detail with it that bothers me for $hit.
For some comparison, I really like the sound on the Iphone13Pro.

I have a problem with your video. Say you got a pair of seinheisser hd820, efficiency of 103. Your statement is that you don’t need an amplifier for this, but the truth is you’d be crazy not to use an amplifier on these, they are made with the purpose of you using an dac for them and they will not even sound half as good without it. And this is true for so many headphones. I believe your rule of thumb is not really good, I’m sorry
