About distortion specifically: the paper called, “An Axiom Experimental Study”, written by Alan Lofft, Ian Colquhoun and Tom Cumberland, is one of the best I’ve seen. It explains the masking effect your music has on distortion, and how poor your ears and brain are at detecting it at lower frequencies. It disproves the, “less is better” approach. I’ve always known, that music, doesn’t consist of pure tones or sine waves. It has overtones. Just because you can detect a certain level of distortion using a sine wave to test a piece of gear, doesn’t mean those measurements have any real world relevance.

Hey bro I need your help, I got a pair of Elegía and I thought my LG V60 would run them easily since the focal are 35ohm, but it doesn’t, I looking for and portable Amp/DAC to improve the lower end on this cans, what do you recommend? Cheers!

Quite interesting to watch a video about something audiophile, meanwhile that video has trash audio quality… The whole quality of the video contradicts everything you say about quality.
And ofc the “pro” at the end can only talka about spending as much as you can, even sell your organs.
Audiophilism is still esoterics, involving no science at all.

Ohm is the Unit for Resistance, and Impedance is the resistance but in an AC/V alternate current and voltage which includes the resistance but also the inductance.
Technically spoken if your headphones run with direct current and voltage (which is if it am aware of, 90% of the case) you don’t have an impedance, just a resistance which is then the xy Ohm given in the spec sheet.

Hi I was watching your videos for few days now and want to get into more audio stuff. I wanted to get hd6xx but in Europe they cost 400€ don’t know why. I was looking at beyerdynamics dt 990 pro and I wanted to know if those will be good start point? There are few variations from those and I don’t know which one to get. There are also tygr 300r they seem to get good reviews. Do I also need amp for those or not for start? Sorry to bother you but I didn’t find a lot of stuff on those in recent reviews. Thank you for your response in advance.
