I recently gor some hd 599’s. Idk if these r exactly audiophile quality or not but am loving them anyway
Dude. You need chapters in videos over 30 mins…
Nice, understandable. And Im gonna be broke sooon
It’s kind of hart to understand some of your words. For example “Pldkjgd Magnetic Drivers”, I could not catch the first word, no matter how many times you said it. Also when listing the headphones, a lot of times I can’t make out the model, and you don’t mention the brand. A simple text popup with brand and model would’ve helped. I know I can look at the description. For a beginner video this would’ve helped a lot.
Great video! Ive learned a lot. Thanks!
I do not know what kind of recording equipment you use. Your video’s are the best sound quality of all reviewers out there. (Schiit Asgard 3 w/ USB Multibit Card).
Dang I had $40,000 set aside for headphones but Sennheiser won’t sell me them without the 59k system 😅
I am watching this video using the Hifiman 400se and a Bojuren usb-c to 3.5mm adapter plugged directly into a cheap but new Samsung tablet. So, there are exceptions to needing an amplifier. This 7.99 cheap ‘dac’ adapter was horrible with my Tin T2s and sensitive closed back headphones, but I on a whim I remember I never tossed it in the trash and decided to try with my low sensitivity 400se.
Josh what do you think of the V-MODA M-100 masters I’ve always loved these I’ve had mine for a year and use them for all things gaming and anything on my computer with a audio quest dragon fly and nahimic for my eq stuff I’m really impressed with this serious cost to performance it’s a big step up from the V-MODA lp2 I had before
I get extremely confused at 26:40 when someone says “these headphones are good/great value”. For what purpose????? Audeze LCD-2 is heavy and looks like a headphone that you would use at home sitting on a couch listening to music which makes 0 sense. For the same price you can a good set of speakers. The Meze Classics appears to be also in the same category – due to the wooden cups you would not take them outdoors. I thought the whole point of good headphones is so you can take them outdoors while walking, exercising or travelling? I don’t quite understand what kind of people sit at home listening to $1000-$4000 headphones. Sorry, but it would be hugely beneficial if you’d explain this crucial difference of how you actually use headphones.
The headphones are 90% of the sound of a system. Everything else is about 10%.
OUTSTANDING information, thank you!
great watch 🙂
TLDR; what do audiophiles think about vmoda? I have crossfades and zx [their top line in ear, whatever its called.]
Humbling to realize that freq response is a marketing trap. I love my vmodas and listen to a lot of sub bass heavy music. I’ve always felt that its tight punchy and clean, but I wonder how much im missing out on.
IMO you should have mentioned that headphones with 100+ SPL can still cause sound compression that really drags down the sound, without a DAC/amp.
PIZZA FACTOR! <3
A true NY-style metaphor.
Closed backs are also harder on the ears. After six years of using one I can no longer listen to closed backs. My ears and head becomes real exhausted real quick. Only open backs for me now.
You also have semi-open like DT880, DT990 and DT1990.
I think you’re probably really doing your best in this video. But I generally don’t give points for effort. And I’m left more confused than before I watched the video. There’re a lot of words I struggle to understand, simply because they’re no too well explained. Besides, most of your recommended headphones are from brands I’ve never heard of. I wonder if I can even find them here in Europe. Altogether not very helpful, I think.
Plz review samson sr850 🥺
