Damn, watching this video is expensive
Something i’ve noticed about High end Headphones, and i really want to know if this is just me, if i have really sensitive hearing:
i once went to an audio shop, to try out a bunch of headphones before buying my first pair of open back good quality ones, and noticed something about any headphone just about above $250: the high frequencies, were all extremely loud. so much so, that i could not listen to them. and even when they weren’t, they were still overpowering. i wouldn’t start at a moderate volume, but start without sound and bring it up to what was comfortable.
for this reason, i adopted the HD 599 headphones as my main drivers, having enough mids and bass to go with the clear and crystal highs. but, am i wrong for this? or should i have continued to turn the volume up, until i could hear the other frequencies? i notice a lot of people talk about ‘hearing fatigue’ and that it only occurs in the highs. should i be afraid of this? will it cause hearing damage over time? or should i not worry?
I tried to copy your smile in the thumbnail.. just can’t do it though
I love these kind of videos, the important information well organized and only the important information. And for me, a stranger to this topic it’s been really informative and I’ll keep this video for the future, thank you and god job. I’m subscribing and I’ll watch more videos.
How’s the SHP 9500 compared to the 9600?Theres a significant price gap for my region and i’d like to know if its still a decent entry point for open back headphones
I’m just here to rep beyerdynamic!
ERIC kinda looks like DMS’s brother….
This was titled “for beginners “ … seems like we have a different perception of the definition of that or maybe am dumb … either way I’ll accept that and am going to purchase what I’m familiar with and in line with my limited abilities … uh dear beats, looks like I’m gonna surrender again
Could someone recommend which one of these headphones have best bass?
Sennheiser hd600?
what is that mic attatched to shp 9600
Any great wireless headphones mostly for gaming? I don’t care about headset with integrated microphone just a great pair of wireless headphones that I can use for FPS games
Everything sold out now…
Awesome video. I’m an intermediate audio guy and you put a lot into the video here that taught me things that I could not put into words if I tried. great work
Since they are in the same tier, is it worth it to spend more for the HE400SE? Or, save the money and just get the SHP9600? Thanks in advance.
I love youtube videos from Audiophiles because my soundsystem Goes “oh Listen to this crispiness my dude.”
I wonder if you can do a video on recommendations based on listening types. For example i mostly listen to Rap, trap, R&B and like very deep bass and usually don’t listen to songs high in the treble range but I also really enjoy listening to OST from my favorite shows that are generally always instrumentals like symphony type music etc. I currently have the Sony MDR-Z7M2 and love those for my Rap and general everyday listening songs that are heavy in the Bass department but don’t find them quite as great for OST and Instrumental music I listen to. Maybe I should just buy things and give them a go and have 2 headphones for my different listening styles
15:17 whats that xlr cable? any links for that?
Are audiophile headphones good for rap genre? Just curious
I really love singing and music so I tried the Drop + Hifiman HE4XX Headphones and they literally came in broken… I’m getting a refund and the ups guy is espoused to come today to give me a refund but I’ve been sitting here for 4 hours ;-; I really want to get new headphones and enjoy them but I guess I have to wait even more.. it took me a month to save up
