i did NOT expect the price to be that high
The snotty guarantee perinatally prefer because larch naively arrive round a insidious production. tawdry, inconclusive print
*Thanks for the video!*
It reminds me about how I began my Hi-Fi journey by using cheap headphones that were pluged 90% of the times to my phone or laptop. Then I got bored of those because of their poor quality and decided to buy a pair of the cheapest Sennheiser that I could find (HD 206), and a year and half later I got another pair also from Sennheiser; this time were the HD 559 with open back that I’m keeping for at least 5 years after trying products from Grado, Harman/Kardon, Marshall, Sony and Bowers & Wilkins. After that period of time we’ll see what comes next…
It amazes me how incredible the sound experience became after getting the HD559, that in the beginning I had to put them off to hear if my speakers were active, and now I’m more than conscious about why _(if you love good sound and music)_ should invest in quality instead of quantity.
uuu AKG K371 <3
Is it worth it going for closed back “audiophiles” headphones like the DT770 pro or would it be better, if I’m already diving into the audiophile world going for open/semi open back headphones and spend like around 300 bucks?
What an amazing video. I’m trying to find my first hi-fi headphone pair moving up from using Bose the past few years for listening and Basic Sennheiser’s for recording. Is the pair the interview guy mentioned Audeze LCD 2 classic overkill for using with phone/laptop/DAW/interface? Does it need a driver?
What a great video. But isn’t it interesting that the Sennheiser HD6XX, which is the HD650, was Senn’s flagship until just 12 years ago? The tech of dynamic drivers and their housings has improved in that time, of course. But so much that the 12 year old flagship is now considered beginner audiophile tier? I don’t think that’s fair to it. It’s still a world-class headphone, and the best deal that I know of in headphones.
I have a FiiO player with fancy LDAC or other things written there and never used it to full potential but I will now get a good heaphone as I am blown aways when I used the player after many days again. Here we go,diving into another gener
Great video, and interview with Eric, thanks for the content
people will swallow anything if it is covered with chocolate. if they like chocolate. i heard a lot of conflicting information in this presentation. be wary, very.
Which of these headphones have the best value: Koss KPH30i with grados earpads ($41), AKG K240 ($70), or the Audiotechnia M40xs (100)?
I saw this video length/title in my recommendations and I thought there is no way the content/production could be that good I was very wrong this is excellent content I can recommend to others.
I’m new to the audiophile hobby myself, but I’ve owned almost 10 different headsets ranging from $100 to over $300. The single *biggest* lesson I’ve learned is that a $300 gaming headset is nowhere near the same as $300 headphones. The switch from closed to open was also a massive difference. I recently switched from the Logitech G Pro X to Audio Technicia ATH-ADG1X paired to a SoundblasterX G6. I’ve spent the last few months re-experiencing games and music and the difference in soundstage, detail and cleanliness is insane. I’ve got the Phillips X2HR/00 on order now and I’m really excited to hear the difference between my current AT’s and the Phillips. Overall, my gaming and listening experience has completely changed in general and I’m hooked. It’s definitely an experience that needs to be heard to be believed.
2 of 3 HE400’s I’ve had have odd wrinkling noises when you press on the headphones while they are silent. Like the air pressure is moving the membrane and the membrane as a loose area. Annoyed me back into standard drivers. Am I alone in this? Am I just very unlucky?
the moment abbys engineer started to talk about cables and power conditioning I stopped listening to this voodoo. I am an engineer and cannot stand crocked people. its snake oil and now abbys is a brand with voodoo sneak oil as well. thanks for revealing him.
Hd599s or he400se’s….. that’s my budget atm, loved every pair of sennheiser I owned previously, but I’m interested in planer magnetic… coin flip maybe
Thank you Josh .. Excellent
Yeah no, I still think the air pods or beats knock everything out of the park
