I can see why Josh did not mention the Modhouse Argon. It has attributes of all 3 categories and even confuses me an intermediate user. I have “better” headphones but the Argon still stands strong in my listening rotation.

Is it normal to not like Headphones or iems for music listening? I don’t know why I can’t feel them emotionally. I like Stereo speakers more, it surrounds me with music like I’m in a theatre.

Just discovered this channel a few weeks ago and really enjoying it. I’ve been listening to the same pair of Sennheiser HD595s plugged straight into my computer for the last ~12 years. I’ve finally decided it’s time for a real setup, so I’m having a ton of fun over-researching the decision.

The only thing holding electrostatic drivers back are the amp, if you you eq an electrostatic it is better than all headphones

Josh,can I buy an Drop THX 789 amp.. and let’s say “400i” ..for start as my first set up? (I think I will be able to keep this amp for almost ANY even Much Higher end headphones..for the future,right?)

Great collaboration you’ve pulled on this one Josh (I also watch ABYSSHeadphones channel and DMS’s own channel besides his ABYSS work), I really like these kind of advice videos because life is expensive out there. So it’s great to get a direction on where people might want to start. Basically this video’s informative and quality level is platinum.
