for any person that likes having a microphone and audiophile headphones; i recommend the mmx 300 gen2. its just an unbeatable combo when it comes to microphone and sound quality. they are a headphone with a microphone, therefore a headset, but do not be fooled by that.

not even close to being a audiophile but i have the drop x sennheiser pc37x connected to a fulla schiit 3 and i have no idea if its good or not honestly. all i know is that it doesnt sound bad and for the most part, from what i can tell with my inexperienced hearing, is that theyre clear. maybe a tad low on bass but overall decent. the recently released hifiman he-x4s have caught my eye as affordable planar magnetic headphones but idk how much of an upgrade it would be. plus the cost of the heaphones and the fact that they dont have a built in mic so id have to get a new mic setup

I started my “audiophile journey” today with some Meze 99 Neo’s. Loving them thus far though as I understand it they really start to shine after around 100 play hours.

Hey Josh, just got the Sundaras and loving them. Already looking forward to my next upgrade though. What headphone would you recommend under $1500 for more bass for EDM, hip hop, gaming and movies, while still improving upon the Sundaras in all/most other areas too? Thanks in advance if you can take the time to answer

In preparation for Amazon HD, Spotify HiFi, Apple HiFi etc I got the HD6XX and the Ifi Hip Dac to stream from my phone. I’m using a trial of Tidal and Amazon HD right now, and I dunno if I notice a huge difference between a Tidal Masters track vs an Amazon Ultra HD track. Maybe I’m too plebeian for this hobby.

I really love Audio Technica headphones for the price. AD900X (my fav low-impedance open-back neutral reference, also amazing for gaming), MSR7, M50X-BT (excellent wireless headphones I bring with me anywhere I don’t want to take the aforementioned models) are all incredible, especially for the value. My dream headphones would be the ADX5000, I’m still not sure I could ever bring myself to spend two grand on headphones, but if so then I’d buy those.

What are some good fun headphones, I like my bass and need something more than the ATH M50x’s. I do not like beyerdynamics. I’ve tried the 770s and they’re just too harsh. Any recommendations are appreciated
