HE400 SE review/comparison coming up man?
Honestly, this is a must-watch video for anyone even slightly interested in audio. But it’s also a great refresher to those who are chin-deep into the audiophile world to pull them back a bit and appreciate their world and equipment therein. Well-balanced content, well-put and overall amazingly well-made video. Never thought of myself as an audiophile but I found myself somewhere between Levels 2 and 3, at least from a technical knowledge perspective. Quite an interesting personal revelation, tbh.
I love my Bose QC 35II, Etymotic Er 2se,2xr,3xr, Hifiman Deva, Philips SHP 9500 and Tackstar pro82. Daily use, airpods pro 😁
This is a great video but I wish you would always specify the brand when talking about a specific headphone. I’m relatively new to all of this, so I don’t really know what you’re talking about when you just mention “the HE400SE” or “the SHP9600” for example. I’d appreciate it if you’d say “the *Hifiman* HE400SE” or “the *Philips* SHP9600”. Makes things a lot easier!

Interview Tyll Hertsens
This video was so good… thank you so much… very informative
No offense to josh, I like his content. But imagine owning a 1600$ Arya and Josh calling it “an intermediate-level” headphone 😂😂😂
Can anyone recommend a video that talks about Soundstage, mid range, sub bass, v shaped sound etc?
I would’ve laughed if Eric recommended an Abyss headphone for a beginner’s first set 😂
Hi Joshua, I’m digging into your videos but I am a little bit confused, there must have been some video I have missed.
I’m looking for a closed back headphone to avoid my family shouting at me at night when I listen to my Stax, that I really enjoy (I know, I just learned you don’t like electrostatics). Looking at your list of suggested gear I see the M1060C but then I go to your review video and you don’t seem so enthusiastic. Then I see your next videos and you confirm it is good…as long as you use it as an Open Back. You confirm this in your tier list video and you say Sony Z7 is better. While searching for it, I see your Meze 99 video, where you seem to like the headphones a lot…but they don’t make neither your recommended list nor your tier list. I understand things change over time, but I have to admit I am a little bit confused (and unfortunately, unable to try multiple headphones).
the hifiman HE-4xx are a real bargain from mass drop.
Very informative, thank you
Very informative even if you’re not new at this. Thanks
very educational vid. I think level 1 should have covered on/over ears too but I guess thats a more common knowledge
Content with LG V60 and HD6xx
Simple, direct, understandable. You are a good communicator compared to other reviewers, with good content.
Thank you!
