I have the Sennheiser pxc 550 ii. I’m looking to get a open back set to complement and have a wider sound stage. Taking this permission, what would recommend: Sennheiser hd 600 or 660s vs hd 800s?

guys dont believe this… my advice… play with a EQ and with very little frequency response change – you can HEAR how you harm or make it very better… so frequency DOES matter A LOT.

Hi Joshua. Do you think the Sony DMP-Z1 falls into that category mentioned that people need to spend a bunch of money just to get that 0.1%? I own the Sony TA-ZH1ES (bought it mint, used), and I can barely discern any differences except that the DMP-Z1 can feed very power hungry headphones. Any help is appreciated and thank you in advance. Side note: would you actually review that DAP someday? If not, figured I could ask. Cheers!

58x jubilee/ sennheiser (170$)open
Kph30i /Koss (30$) open
Solo in house use .
Chose them because they are easy to drive and also are really easy to listen.
If you want to rank up a bit?
Hd600 sennheiser (300$) open
Hifiman Sundara (350$) open
Solo in house use.
Sounds good out of a phone but damn.. if you use an amp like ( ifi hip dac 150€ , can be used on a smartphone)
The difference is there and sound better ,like noticeably….😇

Hello there, can u rate the streaming hi Res apps available on the market? And where are available? I’m currently using tidal bcuz it’s the only one available in my country which makes me sad bcuz tidal is a little bit too trashy. Ty

IMO noise floor in amps is more important than distortion. For distortion, the headphones have to be very hard to drive or the amp must be very badly made to distort audible.

Noise floor however is easily audible with IEMs.
