It is worth to say that a faster charger will damage your battery faster as well. Only use a 20w charger if you are in a rush, use the 5w at night

Apple/Google chargers sold separately are way too overpriced, I got a 20W Anker for all my USB c charging.

I don’t mind using either 5W or 20W. I use a 5W while I sleep, I won’t be on my phone anyway, while I use 20W when awake.

I guess Apple and Google are playing it safe when it comes to charging. Regardless of the tech and how advanced it is, charging phones too quickly will not help with battery degradation. I think it could be that Chinese brands are just expecting most if not all users to upgrade phones quick enough that their fast charged batteries won’t have time to degrade too much, but there’s no way after 3 to 4 years of daily charging that battery won’t be about to die. Personally I am fine with the 23watt charging on my Pixel 7 Pro, but truthfully I wouldn’t mind maybe 40.

I use a Ipad 12w charging brick and it is performing great
Also the 20w it will drain your battery life percentage faster than the 12w
