yeah but how much time vs power consumption should be what you are looking at. Is the higher watt charger actually charging 3 times faster?

When I was using my 12 Mini, I cared more about this as I was having to charge throughout the day. Definitely frustrating to be plugged in for a long time and hardly gain any battery. But since getting my 14 Pro, my battery lasts me all day and I only need to charge overnight, so it doesn’t really matter how fast it is for me.

5 watt is still very useful for overnight charging. Combine that with Apple’s optimized battery charging feature and those two things will help preserve the longevity of your iPhone’s battery. I only use my fast charger when I need to top off in the middle of the day, but otherwise I charge overnight.

I turned off all my fast charging features on my Samsung, and I still use the chargers that came in like the s6. I prefer to preserve my battery over time than to charge it super fast and degrade it at a faster rate so I can get right back on it. That’s just me.
Also I charge overnight

Don’t buy the charger from Apple, you can find Anker ones for around $10 less, and they are the same size as the 5W brick but charge with 20W
