I mean if I just charge my phone overnight while it plays white noise of some kind, it doesn’t matter if it takes ages or not, it always lasts the day anyway

The faster you charge a battery the more strain you put on it, the more strain, the shorter the batteries life.

It goes way faster if you turn on low power mode. Also, I have both, so that explains why the small one charges slower than the bigger one

I do like fast charging but the only problem is that the iphones battery health degrades faster than using a 5 or 12 watt charging brick

The only reason I still use the 5 watt charger is because my battery on my iPhone 13 Pro Max is good I don’t have a need to charge my phone during the day. I only put it to charge as I head to bed (I end my day at like 18-20%)

I will continue to use my 5 Watt charger because the higher the wattage of the charger you use, the less long the battery will last. so if you do not need to charge quickly, for example when you are sleeping, you should use 5 watts. but if you quickly need to charge your mobile because you have to go somewhere, it is best to grab a higher wattage charger. but if you do this too often, your battery condition will quickly go down and you will therefore have to replace your battery sooner.
