Most ear buds are not repairable, it seem like the only reason your are doing this is because it’s Apple.

Truth be told, Apple never said they were repairable. But you can recycle them at Apple stores.

Maybe there’s a market for replacement enclosures that are snap closed. I’m surprised iFixit hasn’t got into that market, the same goes for phone cases etc.

You’re judging repairability by the tools you have. As products become more advanced and miniaturized, your tools have to improve to keep pace. I can’t fix a 1952 discretely wired vacuum tube radio with a stone axe. That doesn’t make it a bad device.
