Seems to me that someone like Stephen Hawking could benefit tremendously from this technology. Even if a person has absolutely no muscular control at all, they could still interact with the world if they have an active mind.
@ibalkid Tom cruise movies, maybe not, but Philip K Dick stories possibly are.
mind-reading robots? I eagerly expect thousands of conspiracy theories in a couple hours.
@maropigula Very Australian.
@dravarian26 They’ve been demoing this for a few years, so the paranoia has been well underway.
@ericleb01 You never know, the thing is in modern times technology advances more or less rapidly in every direction based off of both what the governing bodies want and on public popular demand ; i.e weapon-based technologies vs. entertainment-based technologies today advance at nearly the same pace, except the weapon-based technologies cost a lot more to develop due to the need for secrecy, whilst entertainment-based technologies lure in minds with higher affinity for extraordinary thinking ;))
Wall-E’s future draws one step closer.

That’s realy amazing
@x1te you read my mind ;o)
Its like a Neurohelmet from BattleTech. Holy crap! That is flipping crazy!
We’ll never have to move again!
I know I want one!
I can only IMAGINE what it’d be like to play a video game where you THINK the moves instead of try to force your hands to make the right combination of half-circles while pressing ‘A’…
Would be great if you could operate your OS with this, instead of a mouse.
Communties input? I don’t even know where to start…
