can’t wait for it to drop, and all the downtime server maintenance, fixes, patches cause again real programmers not testing
I saw Bob!
I enjoyed SL expac too.
I wonder if theres a way to get wormhole on wrist as enchant… :p would be a cool idea as an engineering specialist
Honestly I really DO think DF will launch on time, I think a lot of people(mostly people who didnt have alpha access) are severely underestimating how much of the game is actually fairly close to finished. When you compare how polished Alpha was to BfA or SL alpha, the difference was staggering, DF alpha was universally reacted to with surprise due to how it seemed more like a beta than an alpha, there was still A LOT already in the game. And that shouldnt come as a surprise now because weve been told that the devs have basically been working on DF development since fairly early on into SL, and I think that evidently shows. Things like the talent trees and class design, and the dungeons I have no worry about being ready on time whatsoever, many of the talent trees are actually pretty damn close to a finished product and only require some minor tweaking and then tuning of the tree/class(with only DH/priest/Druid probably lagging behind a little bit, but there is still PLENTY of time to finish them without rushing). Theres obviously some talents and other stuff that arent implemented yet or buggy/not working but a lot of stuff IS working.
If I had to pick one thing that id be worried about(at all) being ready on time I suppose its profession stuff since a lot of it hasnt been tested much yet and theres probably a fair amount of iterating that needs to be done due to how dramatically profs are changing for DF. Nonetheless, they still have 3+ months to get everything finished, and if we look at how much progress has been made on talent trees(mainly, but some other stuff too) in the past 5 weeks of alpha, it shows that they definitely are working hard but more importantly communicating with the community to make the correct changes in an expeditious fashion.
I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and some people might think im being too nice or positive or have too much faith in Blizzard, but in the last 6 months of SL and with DF development so far, I think Blizzard has done a huge 180 and have dramatically improved in terms of communicating with the players(as well as listening) and actually iterating on stuff. If the game didnt feel so polished for the very first week of Beta, maybe id be a lot more skeptical of the game being ready, but imo 3+ months should be plenty of time to finish the game as MOST of the heavy lifting has already been done.
PLEASE everyone, report bugs while in beta. IT’s up to us to help shape the game we wish to play.
You know what would be cool… if professions got their own titles.
WHERE IS BOB?!
the dragon riding “fix” is such a weird and useless thing. like it does not affect anyone and literally just adds a shackle on the players. like, just ruining fun
Bitch… Uhh, complain is a better word.
I used to get beta invites – I did one, and it ruined that expac for me (I did as much as possible, because of course I did). I didn’t do another one, and yes I got more invites, and have pledged to never do one again. At least now you have to opt in – no way I want to ruin an expac for myself again. Watching videos isn’t as spoilery as doing all the stuff yourself, so I’ll still watch the videos
11 hours to run the main questline? thats like 1-2 levels in classic era .. I sort of miss when it took awhile to go through ‘the content’ – the zone and their stories. But I guess now its rapid to get to endgame, and if you want, you can go back and do the stories (but too easily by virtue of outleveling?) … just seems ‘so fast’ :O
I got into beta, been having a blast playing around in the early stuff. Had some nasty bugs like the one where you Lose your dragonflying mount, so had to re-do all that questing. Then all the broken talent trees drama. Ugh, but besides those niggles, I LOVE it.
If crafters can make gear equal to what the big3 can make it will replace the big 3 in primary gearing in all regards except maybe trinkets. The reason is simple. No more being slaves to the stats available on drops. You can choose the stats you actually want instead of the stats that are forced on you.
The new Guild Wars is shaping up well.
From the systems currently in beta, is there any confirmation that we will be able to craft and use gear of a certain ilvl without doing the content that usually drops same ilvl gear?
Oh boy Actiblizz nerfed fun again who woulda thought a company that hates fun would nerf it once again… No wonder why noone wants to play their boring unfun game. Stop making stuff that is fun and then nerfing it to the ground and maybe just maybe people will want to play again.
Crafting has me so damn excited for this expansion. I’m far more likely to want to raid or do M+ if I can go “hm, maybe I need to upgrade this sword I crafted a bit” or something, just endlessly farming new gear really isn’t interesting to me.
