Lithium batteries are generally forbidden in checked luggage for most countries. It must be carried in hand luggage. I have had baggage being opened and camera batteries confiscated from checked bags, causing the baggage to be held and delayed. This is dis-information that must be removed from this video. It almost seems like the author has never travelled internationally, read the rules on your airline ticket please.

Coffee and _(strangely enough)_ some soaps will make alert the scanner as suspicious “organic matter”. Coffee, if it’s in the coffee company’s own bag, unopened with that tiny valve hole, will compress all the air out of the bag. When you take your coffee out, the coffee beans will be a tightly compressed _block_ of beans. Kinda funny.

*_Do not put your full name and address on your luggage tag or anywhere on the outside of your luggage._* An unscrupulous person can note your address and share this information with their unscrupulous buddies to go to your home and break in. *Alternative:* write your first initial, last name, your cell phone number and your email address only. Put the same info on the inside of your bag (I write my info with a Sharpie permanent marker right on the inside fabric of my luggage), so your contact info will be available permanently, should your luggage tag be removed or lost.

Comments about flying with film safely are a bit dated. As of 2021, US airports are transitioning from X-Ray tech for carry-on to CT-based (“CAT scanner”). CT scanners will fog any/all film on a single pass. Lead-lined bags won’t be effective either. Get your film hand-checked regardless.

Never bring bottles of liquid, not even face cream in your carry bag, they will ask you to throw it no matter how expensive it is! Put it in the big luggage.

You can bring an electric toothbrush on a plane in your carry-on bag. It’s not something the TSA worries about. The TSA is more worried about your toothpaste than your toothbrush which should be limited to 3.4 ounces! In fact, the best place to pack electric toothbrushes is in carry-on bags for three reasons.

Put all your electronics on your carry-on.

Thank you for reinforcing my choice to NEVER fly again after my grandma was sexually assaulted by a TSA officer and had her family photos permanently confiscated a.k.a. STOLEN.

If I want to travel over-seas, that’s what boats are for.

If I want to travel cross-country, that’s what trains are for.

Neither pollute our ozone layer as much as commercial and private jets do.

The incident over two decades ago was committed with a plane, not a boat or a train.
