We use the DJI Pocket (1) on most of our videos as a primary camera. Usually we are outside in unpredictable conditions so its small size is a real benefit. We’ve also gotten pretty good at framing up our subjects without having to attach a large screen (cell phone) to it! Thanks for doing this test, have been looking at maybe getting the Pocket 2 at some point.

I am new to this so please excuse my ignorance: why would I buy a gimbal for say an Canon M50 if I can buy the pocket 2 at the same price, and the pocket is travel friendly? My logic says the Pocket is the obvious choice? Am i missing something?

I bought a camera and here’s a surprise, recording is possible only in 1080-30 fps format, everything that is above a couple of minutes and the recording turns off due to overheating. I returned it to the store (CSN). the camera was sent for quality control and their answer was that all dji norms do not say anywhere that it will work in a format more than 1080-30 fps

Do you need a external mic to get sound quality like this video? Also if you can’t pause, after recording, does each clip save as different files? So how do you put them all together in one?

Ciao Peter, thanks for your always great review! I bought the first version when it came out and I was immediately very enthusiastic, but after using it, it doesn’t satisfy me anymore, even if I still use it ! I’m undecided whether to upgrade to this new version!
