I’ve been considering this as a replacement for my smartphone, which I’ve been using as my main camera. But other than the gimbal, it doesn’t seem like it’s be much of an upgrade

I’ve got the Osmo Pocket 1 and it’s my regular travel can now. The simplicity of it and the quality is incredible. I would like to take a peek at the Timelapse and Hyperlapse options in the 2. Over all it looks like an upgrade with accessories and travel kept in mind when designing the case. Currently I keep all the little bits in a small jeweler bag but I hate that I have to do that.

Anyone remember the original DJI OSMO which had a camera with a gimbal. Wish DJI make a revision of it.

How effective is it with sudden impacts, particularly with the wide angle lens on? I’m looking to replace my chest mounted GoPro and gimbal setup for mountain biking and though the form factor of this isn’t perfect for that, it seems a lot better suited for the task. I hate having to record audio separately, charge two different devices, disassemble it every time I need to swap the GoPro battery, etc. Just worried landing jumps the gimbal on this will be too weak, particularly with a wide angle lens hanging of the front.

This would be a perfect little vlog camera. Im getting ready to retire my Canon SL2, and I’m replacing it with the BMPCC 6k. I feel like the Pocket 2 would make a great addition to the arsenal.
