The D7500 is arguably Nikon’s most underrated camera in their lineup. I own one, and it’s hands-down the nicest DX format Nikon that I’ve ever owned (10+ years with various Nikon models). The complaints/criticism are mainly from D7200 owners who have never taken a single picture with this model. 1 SD slot? No problem. No battery grip? No problem. No AI index tab? Who cares. It uses the same sensor as the D500, which is the nicest DX camera that Nikon has ever produced. Combine that with a hugely upgraded processor, buffer rate, 4k video, better color recognition and iq, lighter weight, 8fps, etc, and it’s an amazing camera. I feel sorry for the miserable people out there who bash this incredible model. I’ve yet to meet a single person who owns this camera, and doesn’t like it. As I said, it’s an incredible camera.
as i have seen d7200 has an upgradef toshiba sensor from d7100, beautiful dynamic range but noise starts to kick in really fast. and there’s no way d7200 is sharper. it’s just 3mp more in terms of resolution and 0 percent more in terms of detail capturing. but the touch screen alone should persuade you to go d7500. it’s 2021. a camera with no touch screen is just wierd rn
