Hey, thanks for the Steve. I don’t understand, when I depress to focus, a bright light next to shutter goes on? Why is that happening.? Thanks!
Which nikon model would you recommend for food photography? Thank you in advance
2022 this was a killer review! I bought the D7500 on a whim from Costco $1,200 (bag, x2 lens, x2 bats, strap, charger, boby). Focused on nature, graffiti, people, Auroras. I just learned so much. Thanks My Dude.
Nikon really did their customers over with this camera, I would prefer a D7100 over this as I have a lot of older glass.
Hi Steve – great review and sorry for such a late comment on this. I live in Canada and currently use a Nikon D 7100 camera. I was hoping to upgrade to the D500 but now here in Canada it is unavailable. Do you think the D7500 would be significantly better than the D 7100 or should I consider a mirror less camera now? I shoot primarily wildlife from insects to birds.
Don’t know if I posted this comment before, (and I’m too lazy to check), but I’ve never understood the negative comments about the 7500.
When I first made the jump from 35mm to a DSLR, I went with the APS-C D5600, mostly because I didn’t feel like dropping several thousand on a full-frame as my first DSLR. After a bit of getting to know the APS-C sensor I quickly learned that a full-frame is not really required in most shooting situations. Later on I upgraded to a 7500 and I couldn’t be happier. For the price it’s an outstanding APS-C body, and I’ve never actually felt I was “missing” some feature that others have said Nikon left out or removed. While I’m still on the fence about the need for a full-frame, if I don’t upgrade again I’ve no doubt the 7500 will more than serve my photography needs until the day it finally dies…
The D7500 does not have lower res screen than D7200. Both have 640×480 pixels, the D7200 has RGB and W, the D7500 only RGB but still shows the clearer and brighter image due to technology improvements.
