yes suppose its ok , so long as you dont need a grip and want full plastic build .. carbon fiber as in polycarbonate ( plastic) i have two 7200s . a d850 and have never used the tilting screen on the d850 nor the touch screen . i always use nikon alloy grips . theyre sturdy tough and save wear on the camers . sorry it just doesnt feel like a semi pro camera should ,

Kudos on a great review. I chose the D7500 over the D7200 because of its superior AF and metering. I never found myself using more than 1 memory card, or a battery pack, so those were moot points to me. LOVE the ‘Face Detection’ on the D7500 as I shot models. http://www.viewbug.com/member/garyabigt

Hi Steve, I don’t think that you mentioned it in your video, but does the D7500 allow for aperture changes while in Live View? This is something my D7200 lacks and I’ve always been a little sore about having to back out of live view to change the aperture, particularly in video mode.

Can you use non-ai lenses? I want a 500f4 and it’s the only way I can afford it (just for kicks and giggles I will also most likely have a sigma contemporary dg 150-600)

I’ve got an autofocus question. I have a D7500 and I don’t know how to keep the focus point in the center. It seems to go to whatever it thinks is the mains subject, or the closest subject. I’d like to just keep it in the center (most of the time).

Used your link to purchase from Amazon, however, when I got there it was for the D7500 body only. On that page were several other (little boxes, really) links to choose the body with a lens. I clicked one of those instead, so, please check with Amazon/Adorama (the actual provider) to ensure you get credit since, technically, I purchased from a link other than the one you provided.

Thanks for the review! Just got my D7500 today. Big upgrade from my trusty D90, which took 110,000 pics. I just hope I can get the lens on as much wildlife as my D90!
