I’ve been considering this cam but I think the new Lumix S5 II is the best all around cam around that price point. I come from a video world so there is bias there but now they finally have PD it’s hard for me to ignore them. Tough choice!

The AF is amazing when it works. Sometimes it refused to AF. I have to press and release the AF button or manually focus then it catches. The AF is superior than a Canon 1Dx. The vertical grip ergonomics is awful. The vertical buttons are to high on the grip. The joystick is way to low compared to the position on the camera. I have a large hands but it was a stretch. The Canon 1Dx vertical controls are perfect. Even with its quirks, I’m getting more shots in focus. I tried the mechanical and electronic shutter photographing several soccer matches. I don’t see a difference in how the subjects look. I’m using the electronic shutter all the time. The jpegs are amazing. I haven’t had to use RAW files since the R6II.

Nikon should be ashamed of their offerings in the z6ii, the autofocus is diabolical. Surly they can improve this. The camera has been given minor updates. Canon and Sony cameras across the range is good. People shouldn’t have to spend 6k on a camera to get decent auto focus. Nikon have lost the plot. What are they doing. Completely silent since the z9 has come out. All they care about is the z9

Great video 👏🏻 it’s a fantastic camera like you said for the price and there’s going to be a few things that are missing from the specs but you carnt have everything at this price and I think your better off buying a Fuji xh2s rather than this r6
