Shooting P mode wins my vote
Joe gets the nod this time, but you were not far behind. Fully enjoyable video, everyone seemed delighted with the experience.
Ok so I love the video & the series, ofc there is a But lol. A MK3 & 70-200 is not budget gears, I can be wrong lol if you both decide to use Joe gear after using a budget camera say T3i then that would be fine as we are more comfortable with our gears. All photos are amazing but Vanessa your photo was still a lil to hot but thts just me. With Joe photo while amazing I was looking for sum else as he keeps saying his asking the couple how do you feel then pow pow so ofc am looking too see a great image from that part of the shoot but say what. As this video is sponsored by Canon can you please tell them 1 make it so I can set a button to go from face detect to spot & 2 I’d like to change my white balance while am recording video which is sum Nikon can do sigh & 3 why oh why does the face/eye detect always jumping all over the place actually I want a feature when I tap on a persons face the focus bracket should stay there & never move until the person is out of frame or I change it. Thanks keep up the great work.
As someone who has shot extensively on SoCal’s beaches the thing that strikes me most about the results from these two amazing photographers is the depth of Joe’s experience in that challenging environment. Vanessa, as the extraordinarily talented East Coast and Texas photog she is, is at a distinct disadvantage in not knowing exactly how late afternoon West Coast beach lighting is going to behave and — more often than not — misbehave. In any case, another great video with terrific end result prints! Many, many thanks!
Both the photos are unique in terms of categorical 1) Silhouette image 2) Hi key image
Joe is a real pro….no gear dependent…salute
Both photos are great and a little bit more amazing than the other for different reasons. It’s a tie for me
Thanks for putting this together, Vanessa.
It’s kind of an unfair comparison because the photos are completely different. It always comes down to what the use of the photo is. I prefer the darker one as a piece of art but the bright and airy as a beautiful remainder of the moment, something I struggle to capture and you’re a master at. Great job again.
I love both! Vanessa’s pic is portrait pretty and Joe’s pic is artistic gorgeous
This was good. But I think it would have been more interesting with the 5D (classic). This video is great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuOvE2lnj40&ab_channel=CoupleofLondon
Vanessa , I have to give this one to Joe.
Definitely love Joe’s hands down. It’s very dynamic looks like one of the photos that comes with the picture frame. I could go on and on about it. I’m partial to silhouettes and contrast. I love how he knew exactly what he wanted and how to execute it. Experience trumps gear any day. Nice video.
Oh my oh my , JOE BUISSINK is so so amazing, he’s genius creative artist Wow 😳
Amazing! I first heard Joe speak back in 2004 and have always found him so inspirational. This is the first time Ive seen him n a few years and still found listening to him very inspiring.
They are both gorgeous…but Joe’s won me over!
Thank you for another great video! On this particular one, I’ll have to give it to Joe, but I do love your photo as well! My thinking – two different spreads in the album and the client gets the best of two worlds, should this have been a real wedding shoot 🙂
