Sorry about the mega shakey walk and talk footage – I think I somehow managed to turn the stabalisation off on my camera! 😂
thats a BIG lens..lol. looks badass, sharp images. nice addition to the gear fam.
Bird Photography?! Great! You made Mats Day! In German: Tolle Aufnahmen und ein Wahnsinns-Objektiv 😱! Sehr cool! LG
Amazing blogger like great friend
Not seen a nuthatch for a good while so lovely to see that and the good old heron too. That looks so heavy Robert and the monopod definitely required ! Great technical walk through and was the focus limiter comment made through experience whilst on your walk ? I’m hoping to get out locally this week as I’ve had enough of desk driving video creation now 😂
You are going to so enjoy this lens Robert. The photos turned out great, such colorful birds there. I love the one sitting on the sign. 😊
Nice one, love those sharp shots of the Robin. Good time of year for 🐦 photography, with the trees bare the birds are easier to spot.
That’s a really impressive lens, Robert! You got some awesome shots with it, we got to see so many details of the birds
Great video and info on how to use this beast of a lens. Congratulations on the purchase and glad you are happy with it so far! Looks like great image quality even at ISO 1600 on some of those shots and were able to get a fast shutter speed for those hard to capture, fast moving birds! Fantastic images! Great to see you out and about, looks like spring is right around the corner for you. Hope you are well mate, stay safe!
That lens looks great, it’s HUGE! At least you can save on gym membership, just keep using the Sigma. Photos looked really sharp. Looking forward to seeing the results with the Z7.
Great shots! I really like bird photography, it is also my passion! 📷👍
Great Vlog Robert, Great review of the sigma lens, thanks for sharing
Really cool lens i love sigma i use the 30mm for my photoshoots 😀
Great stuff Rob, really pumped to get this lens after seeing the shots you’ve got from it!
I have absolutely fell foul of the focus switch ‘miss’ in the past – forgetting to switch it back into full range and wondering why the hell I can’t hit (different lens of course). That looks a beast of a lens and that type of range is something I’m really considering investing in next. Other than my 900mm (aka a telescope!!!) for astro, the longest focal length I have is 300mm and it just doesn’t have the reach when it comes to any kind of bird/wildlife photography. Anyway, question I’ve been wanting to ask for a while….where did you get your music? It’s really unique (and very hummable!) – just wondered whether you had it wrote and recorded especially….I’m not looking to find it and use it btw haha – just curious
Looks a great lens mate. Got some great shots with it 👍🏼 nice one
Birds are some of the best photography subjects imo. Always great shots! Nice vid!
Nicely done. Informative. It would be nice to identify species along with the EXIF data. My love of our avian friends was born in the hedgerows of Staffordshire.
Bill Oddy marvellous! 😀
Noticed that you have been wearing a sling and hoped that it is not attached to your camera. Attached the sling to your lens instead as the heavy lens may warped the lens mount on the camera body. I had this lens for years now and still putting it to good use for birding 🙂
