Great video Robert! Be careful with the Queen’s swans! Someone told me once it was considered treason to “shoot” a swan up until 1998 because all unmarked mute swans belong to the Queen. Looks like a lovely area you were at. I’ve never tried bird photography but I definitely should, we have a plethora of really big birds here: storks, hawks, eagles, ibis, pelicans, etc. Some are as big as pterodactyls!! Great shots with the 7500, great camera! Really enjoyed this one. Have a great Sunday mate, stay safe!
Great vlog I do wildlife photography watch my YouTube channel will be more coming soon with me in the vlog https://youtu.be/M-UtTYGZbtA
Got some nice images. Something I’ve never tried before. Might give it a go next time I’m out and mix it in with what I’m out doing.
That heron footage was great Robert 👍🏻 Only really tried bird photography once and that was in a field with curlews for about 2-3 hours towards sunset. Must have taken 500+ shots and came away with about 5 I could use !! Fair play to you having a go as I l know it’s not an easy genre at all .
Great video Robert. I agree the Heron shot was great, I thought the long tailed tit in the tree was a good one too.
Robert, that photo at 4 29 was the money shot! It was so great to see it with the wings spread, awesome job!
Haha loved that intro talk….wait….click, click, click…should I start over….go. You got some great shots, loved that Heron with reflection. It’s tough to get good bird shots! Some great tips in there too, nice work man!
Nice shots Robert. I like that reflection one at 2:52. Looks nice around there btw.
That intro’ 😆 love it! Great reaction time for that bird. Really like the shot at 2:55 the reflection is wonderful and you captured the bird well. 5:02 as well, the little guy on the branch is nice, the composition works well and like the leaves as the background. Nice video mate, hope all is well 👌
Great Vlog, I loved the heron shot, it was tops, thanks

Great video mate. I love that starting with you saying hi and then shooting a bird lol. Nicely done. You got some good shots and the Tute aspect was helpful to. Well done.
Sir!! Is it worth buying Nikon d7500 in 2020
First one I’ve seen of yours Robert, love the heron shot and the lob tailed tit really complimented by its background. 👍
Interesting tips
It’s nice to be out birding.
hi Robert, can you please offer me some advice for bird photography? I am a novice. I was looking at the d7500 or the d500. i decided on the d500. I will bundle it with the 70-300 mm lens. But my friend who is a photographer originally recommended two lenses. Would the 70-200mm lens in the link below offer any advantage over the 70-300 lens I am bundling in my purchase? The 500mm would be great for long distance if can’t get too close I assume… if I am on a safari, for instance.
1) What I am getting camera, plus 70-300 lens mm bundle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QS78FVY/?coliid=IQS0122IB4BR3&colid=SKGEZO41POZQ&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1
2)Friend recommended this lens originally. Does it offer an advantage over the one I am bundling with my purchase: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M4L36RJ/?coliid=I1KKN7CJ175HRF&colid=SKGEZO41POZQ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
3)And he recommended i get this one as well for long distance bird photography: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSJQXRM/?coliid=INZ6NSG0Q2RDM&colid=SKGEZO41POZQ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Lastly, should i worry about aperture since I don’t plan to shoot in low light per se except if I am shooting birds in or under a shaded tree. I noticed you were using F 4.5-6.3, which seems fine as far I could tell. I am still trying to learn about aperture.
…..😲…..
