over 502 plate appearance for hitter. No one before, and I think will have no one after for a very very long time.

I grew up an Atlanta Braves fan, and Shohei’s production numbers are equivalent to having BOTH Chipper Jones AND John Smoltz in one player. . . And both of those players are Hall of Famers.

It occurred to me I don’t recall seeing a pitcher with that much dirt on his uniform….Shohei’s probably the only pitcher who would head slide after getting on base. Legend!

There is proof that Ohtani is the MVP. If you swap him and Judge, the angels and judge still don’t make playoffs and Ohtani then is the top hitter AND top pitcher BOTH on the 208 million dollar Yankees who still make the playoffs. Talk about value. He’s the most valuable player of any team on any season ever. Absolutely incredible.
