I know he’ll probably lose the MVP because of how the definition is written…one team is moving forward the other is not. What can’t be disputed is that he is the most outstanding player in all of MLB and not just his team…all MLB!

As a Japanese MLB fan, I don’t mind Judge winning MVP. He deserves it with what he did this season. I just hope he is 120% clean but I’ve seen some Americans say “You are naive if you think Judge is clean.” ” Lance Armstrong didn’t get caught for years.”, etc. so I don’t know what to believe.

Now I’m dreaming someday in near future Ohtani gets 20-wins, 2.00- ERA, 200+ K, as pitcher and 50 HRs, 100＋RBI, 0.300+ average as batter. CY award and HR king at same time. He is the only one who makes me think like that kind of insane thing. SUPERSTAR

Shohei Ohtani is baseball MVP. Period, even CC Sabathia think so.

No question Aaron Judge is one of the reasons why the Yankees are top in their East division but was he the SOLE reason why the Yankees were the best team in AL and had the best record in baseball at the All-Star break? the answer is NO, he wasn’t. The Yankees had three players with 25 home runs (Judge, Stanton and Rizzo) and 6 other players with 10 or more home runs, they also have 3 amazing pitchers (Cole, Tailon and Cortes). The Yankees were the best team in baseball at the all-star break when everyone was healthy and playing, would the Yankees still be the best team in Baseball if Stanton and Rizzo and Cortes were OUT of the lineup from the start of the season? The answer is no, the Yankees would not be the best team or even division leader if their key players were unhealthy to play, and I am doubtful they would even be in the top three wild cards spot either.

After the All-Star break, the Yankees played the Houston Astros and were beaten up like little leaguers, then August happened and key players Stanton, Rizzo and Cortes were out and they went 8-18 in the months of August, they had the worse team record in 30 years. How did Aaron Judge carry this team in August if they went 8-18 if they had the worse record in 30 years? Without Judge the Yankees would still be 8-18 or worse, and it wasn’t like he wasn’t producing, he batted over. 300+ with an OPS of 1.100+, with 9 home runs in August. They had a 17 games lead on the Tampa Bay Rays on August 1st and by September 1st it’s down to 6 games lead, today 4.5 game lead over the Rays. Now imagine if the Yankees didn’t have a 17 game lead over the Rays by August 1st, let’s say 10 game lead over the Rays, where would the Yankees be today? they would likely be in 3rd or 4th in the wild card spot, and the Rays and Blue Jays would be first and second.

So I don’t understand the notion and argument that Aaron Judge is carrying his team or the reason why this team would be fighting for the wild card spot right now. The reason why the Yankees are still in the first place is that they had a massive 17 game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays by being the BEST TEAM in AL, not because of Judge alone, his contribution wasn’t even a factor in August. Stanton and Rizzo had 25 homers and Judge had 33 homers at the all-star break, take Stanton and Rizzo out would the Yankees still have a 17 game lead over the Rays by August 1st? Just looked at what happened when Stanton and Rizzo and Cortes didn’t play, they went 8-18.

How is Aaron Judge carrying his team again if the Yankees were 8-18 in August and are 17-8 in September when they are healthy and playing with a full team again? I don’t get how he carries this team again?
