I get that Judge is having a great season but in my opinion, Shohei I’d once again the MVP. What he is doing isn’t judt incredible, it’s a once in a 100 year type thing. The hitting, the pitching, the speed. I’m not even an Angel’s fan but damn, this guy is insane. I can’t even imagine what his numbers would be if he were on the Yankees or Dodgers lol He might have 20 wins as a pitcher rn on a better team….

Ha there is no judge mvp talk. Judge is the man, but watching sho every night do what he does at a consistent level.. there is just no comparing this man to anyone in the mlb right now. Judge isn’t able to help himself on the mound during the same game he bombs one out.

This man is becoming, if not already, the MLB’s most beloved player in history. He’s a classy player, he’s astonishingly talented, both behind the plate, and on the mound. Very much deserved, a legend in the making for sure.

Judge may hit 60 home runs. But is it that impressive? But Stanton hit 59 a couple years back. Alonso and Judge himself hit 50+ during their ROOKIE seasons. It’s a “cool” number and there’s a century-long obsession with home runs. Judge has even been statistically better during the second half but the Yankees have struggled (basically on a 100-loss pace after the All-Star break) so goes to show how “valuable” can’t be about just one player. Judge had the “best player on best team” narrative a couple months back but it boils down to a slugger having an awesome year – like Vlad. Jr. last season – whereas Ohtani is a top 5 hitter and top 5 pitcher in the AL in the SAME year. It’s unprecedented. If both Ohtani and Judge maintain their production in September, it’ll be interesting how the voters perceive the two. I think Ohtani’s case is a MVP no-brainer but Yankee bias is very real and to be honest, there’s a bit of Ohtani fatigue (which is ridiculous) going on.

Judge is making a splendid season, and I like him indeed. But just imagine, what if you EXCHANGE their team? Ohtani in Yankee while Judge in Angel. Shohei would have more hrs, more wins, what Judge could do more for Angel, considering Angel is wasting Trout all these years?
