Yes, Ohtani has been at his best on the mound, and it’s shameful that the sport media commentators have been largely silent about that after he’s started five games (one, the truncated start at Boston in the mud bowl) and displayed such unique brilliance. There are many pitchers who started this season with excellent performances and stats. But Ohtani is something else. Even when he’s a bit ragged, walking guys too much and so on, he’s always fascinating to watch. And he manages to pitch his way masterfully and creatively to get out of any bad spots within the game. He’s calling his own pitches, usually dialing in the next pitch as soon as he walks back to the pitching rubber. And he mixes up his arsenal of pitches in such a creative way, dominating the opponents and striking out guys with his unpredictable sequence of pitches. I wish he was as good at the plate, but he’s definitely struggling there so far.

my pre-season prediction that ohtani will be departing 2023 on a gurney nearly came true the other day when a’s lefty pitcher threw a fastball straight for ohtani’s head. a miracle that he was able to back the fk away. anaheim’s bench shoulda been chirping at the ump and at oakland’s dugout, but not a sound. this is why ohtani needs to be traded to the yanks or bosox who won’t put up with sh*t like this

今年のWBCにバーランダーやデグロムとコールそしてジャッジが出てたらアメリカが優勝したと思う。ジャパンはこれ以上ないメンバーだったけどアメリカは違ったよね。大谷VSアメリカ代表みたいな試合だったと思いますね😊翔平の前には壁があっても彼なら乗り越えて来ますから😊

Dude. It’s freakin’ April still. Having said that…he probably will be leading come October as well. Lol. He is amazing. I think Ohtani is phenomenal. Not trying take anything away from him here…But you know, I don’t mind saying I think Zack Greinke could’ve done the same thing Shohei does. And knowing a tiny bit about Greinke’s mental issues I think he would’ve been happier, more fulfilled and more productive as an all around Player if he could’ve been able to focus on hitting as well. He IS STILL an amazing hitter. It was kindve a waste. I always got the feeling Zack was being robbed
