I said, to get of a grasp of MVP award this year Judge has to break the HR record, if he doesn’t, he has no chance, but the problem that Ohtani is facing right now is that Judge is heading that way!
Some of the Nonsense Argument Why they dont want wo give it to SHOHEi is, He can do it every year and No other pLayer has a Chance to win the said award… WHAAAAAAAAT⁉️ Are You ALright people? ur Argument is not reasonable!!! if SHOHEi performing weLL and doing extra ordinay things, doing History no other can… ofcourse He deserve to have it🏆! But if He dont, that argument is Nonesense… SHOHEi doing right now is hard and difficult that even The GOD of Baseball can’t sustain to do it straight in how many years, SHOHEi doing His best to entertain the Fans for what they want to see, So PLEASE don say that because He can do it again He should be take for granted, its hurt! if You ( Bias people from East Cost) dont want to award it to SHOHEi every year if He perform great… the Best thing you do is Train and develop a pLayer who is wiLLing to work hard wiLLing to sacrifice everything even His personal Life, person who is willing to do only Baseball! wake up and sLeep doing only Baseball… make it fast and Let Him pLay to overcome every History that SHOHEi written for that you dont have to worry about the award!!!‼️
Ohtani is still that new toy who can take his team to a playoff game or break .500 which it hasn’t been done since he got there. Trout missed a whole month still hit 35 homers and goes on a streak and yet he gets more attention? sandy shouldn’t even be mention. Someone forgot about the Atlanta pitcher who is 16-1, 2.10 ERA? Y’all journalist or reporters comparing other players that makes no sense.. miss information like a mug..
Hi. Ben, if Ohtani has a 10 WAR and Ohtani has a 9 WAR doesn’t that mean that if they traded places then the Yankees will have one extra loss and one less win and they’d still be in contention if they switched places? Also if Judge was replaced with an average player, NYY would be 77-66 still at least in contention for a playoff spot?
My only question is how an MVP can come from a losing team.
Judge
WHy is that fatso vladdy kissing judge’s ass? The only person who will get robbed is if Ohtani doesn’t get MVP.
The Ohtani-Judge MVP debate really shows how OFFENSE oriented the coverage of baseball actually is. Homers are very easy highlights to tell the story of a game, very dramatic. Pitching duels are not for every fan, but the fans of the game who want their team to win… they know… they know that pitching is Everything in Baseball. Batters are at the mercy of Pitchers, they react. Pitchers control the game. What kind of numbers would a pitcher have to have this year to take the MVP away from Judge? One bad game can tank an ERA, but a batter can go 0-25 for a week and then have a couple good games and statistically it’s fine. A pitcher that has a couple bad outings is going to wear those numbers all year. The MVP debate has illustrated how underappreciated pitching is, and this is something Angels fans know very very well.
Please give Judge the MVP once he starts pitching
Judge – 9.1 war
Ohtani – 8.1 war (that’s including his pitching war)
Enough said. Judge is your AL MVP.
Shohei Ohtani should win the MVP even though the Angels are doing horrible this season? If he were that great shouldnt his excellence show in his team? Think how the yankees would be doing without Judge
No one is a player like Ohtani though
this argument makes no sense at all: Judge has to hit twice as many homeruns vs. Ohtani to be MVP. right now, the totals are: Judge (57), Ohtani (34). and the reason is, Ohtani can be on the field for hitting and pitching – and he’s equally adept at either.
cap pays her stop being weird…. wtf
Disagree because Ohtani isn’t leading in any hitting or pitching categories. Judge is leading the MLB in a lot of categories. In order to justify Ohtani being MVP over that, he needs to be leading in categories as well. He isn’t.
Shohei MVP!
Shohei Ohtani has a group of blindly devoted followers, just as Trump has his MAGA followers. He is not leading the AL in a single statistical category. He’s not even among the top 5 in pitching. Also, he’s not helping his team have a winning season. All this talk about him “being history” from his devoted fans is nonsense. What does that even mean? If you ate breakfast this morning you are part of history. Ohtani is actually chasing the handful of AL pitchers who are currently ahead of him. He has given up chasing Aaron Judge in terms of HRs and RBIs. Aaron Judge leads all of MLB in multiple important statistical categories, including HRs and RBIs, and without him the Yankees may not be headed to the playoffs. It’s a no brainer. Aaron Judge is the clear AL MVP for 2022!!
Wow she said it best: Judge is chasing history, Ohtani is making history!
The man once in 100 years does not have thanks anymore.
Are you not ordinary?
shohey is the MVP every year.
Abandon pride; an American.
Shohei Ohtani is baseball MVP. Period, even CC Sabathia think so.
No question Aaron Judge is one of the reasons why the Yankees are top in their East division but was he the SOLE reason why the Yankees were the best team in AL and had the best record in baseball at the All-Star break? the answer is NO, he wasn’t. The Yankees had three players with 25 home runs (Judge, Stanton and Rizzo) and 6 other players with 10 or more home runs, they also have 3 amazing pitchers (Cole, Tailon and Cortes). The Yankees were the best team in baseball at the all-star break when everyone was healthy and playing, would the Yankees still be the best team in Baseball if Stanton and Rizzo and Cortes were OUT of the lineup from the start of the season? The answer is no, the Yankees would not be the best team or even division leader if their key players were unhealthy to play, and I am doubtful they would even be in the top three wild cards spot either.
NYY: Today 2022-09-11
1st in Home run (217)
1st in Runs per game.
2nd ERA 3.28
After the All-Star break, the Yankees played the Houston Astros and were beaten up like little leaguers, then August happened and key players Stanton, Rizzo and Cortes were out and they went 8-18 in the months of August, they had the worse team record in 30 years. How did Aaron Judge carry this team in August if they went 8-18 if they had the worse record in 30 years? Without Judge the Yankees would still be 8-18 or worse, and it wasn’t like he wasn’t producing, he batted over. 300+ with an OPS of 1.100+, with 9 home runs in August. They had a 17 games lead on the Tampa Bay Rays on August 1st and by September 1st it’s down to 6 games lead, today 4.5 game lead over the Rays. Now imagine if the Yankees didn’t have a 17 game lead over the Rays by August 1st, let’s say 10 game lead over the Rays, where would the Yankees be today? they would likely be in 3rd or 4th in the wild card spot, and the Rays and Blue Jays would be first and second.
So I don’t understand the notion and argument that Aaron Judge is carrying his team or the reason why this team would be fighting for the wild card spot right now. The reason why the Yankees are still in the first place is that they had a massive 17 game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays by being the BEST TEAM in AL, not because of Judge alone, his contribution wasn’t even a factor in August. Stanton and Rizzo had 25 homers and Judge had 33 homers at the all-star break, take Stanton and Rizzo out would the Yankees still have a 17 game lead over the Rays by August 1st? Just looked at what happened when Stanton and Rizzo and Cortes didn’t play, they went 8-18.
How is Aaron Judge carrying his team again if the Yankees were 8-18 in August?
