Is there a raw option for the camera app? That’s the point of a camera like this, those highlights are easily recoverable especially the larger the sensor available.

Af looked like it was hunting a lot in the video, hopefully that might be improved.

Any comment on lens quality. Edge sharpness, distortion, chromatic aberration, etc.

This model is a hot topic in Japan now, but I understood it well by looking at your nice & accurate review.
I also think that software adjustment is very important for smartphone cameras.
I wana to be able to go to HK to buy a smartphone and eat yummy HK foods asap. Let’s be careful about infection with each other.

Hello Ben! 🙂 Good video as always! Wanna ask you, if you gonna review the Honor 50 Series or you just ditch it? In my oppinion the series unfortunately isn’t a big hit, i expected stronger specs, especially from the 50 Pro, so i would upgrade from my Honor 20 Pro ( It will be 2 years old this August, and i love Honor) as they come with GMS and their future phones too as they confirmed it. I’m from Hungary, so GMS is a must for me. But, i realized that i have to/better to wait, maybe for the 50Pro+, if it will come, as they rumored it before the 50 series launch. But maybe the upcoming Honor Magic 3 (Snapdragon 888+ and other real flagship specs) will be my next Honor phone ( If it isn’t a foldable phone) which they gonna reveal in August, can’t wait for it. But ofc it depends on the price too for me. Keep up the good work! 🙂 Sorry for my bad english. 😛

I got a few japanese phones in the past and there was trouble trying to update the software since it has to be done within japan only, probably with working japanese sim card as well. Can you be able to test whether you could use the software update function from the phone?

Please try to get your hands on the Leica Leitz 1, the sister phone to this R6 that will be launching in July. I’m curious if the camera post processing on that is better. That phone, apart from exterior aesthetic changes is identical to the R6 but is commanding a hefty premium over the R6 since it’s being released under the Leica name.
