It´s 2014 and a 1″ 20 MP camera smartphone with Leica branding is announced – the Panasonic Lumix DMC CM1 – so the record for the size of the sensor has not been broken yet, merely reached, 7 years later! Though no doubt the R6 will take better photos (ans has a much larger apperture) – though the colour reproduction on the CM1 remains my favourite to this day!

Ben, have you tried shooting with AI/Night Mode? I watched a few videos by Japanese creators and this really seemed to boost HDR as well as solve the shutter lag problem. The Aquos R6 oftentimes looked better than the iPhone 12 Pro Max in one of those comparisons.

If you’ll be doing a review, it’d be great to see some portrait photo examples in daytime, and probably a ZV-1 comparison if you have it.

If shap can come this far and just selling in parts of Japan only or even the US… What went wrong with LG smartphones…. Even sony is selling in selected markets no good…… The camera hardware specially the one inch camera sensor is going to come in many flagship devices…..Nice review👍

So apparently Leica are manufacturing their own version of this phone, the Leitz Phone 1
I guess it’s supposed to be a clone of the Aquos R6 but with a camera module that looks a lot like the mate 40 pro…so maybe see if you can get one?😅
